Goulding NI Fertilisers are currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high output production line.
- Overall maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery.
- Work in a prompt and efficient manner to assess, diagnose, and resolve any fault which detracts from equipment performance in the areas of quality or throughput.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance through upgrades or improved working methods.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
- Ensure that planned maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with specific procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload and specific equipment where conflicting interests arise.
- Complete the day-to-day production requirements.
- Work closely with Supervisor/Manager and all employees as part of the manufacturing team.
- Address, highlight and report any aspect of business which causes concern or may inhibit or prevent the achievement of site objectives.
- Ensure that the consumption of spare parts is accurately recorded ensuring continued availability of spares to maintain production capability.
- Ensure all documentation and records are kept up to date.
- Work to quality standards.
- Will perform other duties as directed.
- Ability to work overtime including weekends/bank holidays if required.
- Maintaining an organised work environment.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered.
Experience / Qualification Criteria:
- Experience in a maintenance role in production or process environment with (low voltage) electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
- Achieved a recognised electrical qualification.
- Familiar with PLC’s and industrial Control Systems.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to make decisions, plan and prioritise work.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Flexibility in working hours during the high season.
Desirable Criteria:
- Candidates ideally have forklift experience, however this is not essential as Forklift Licence Training will be provided.
- Experience working in a busy environment.
