We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our accounts team within Gough & Kelly Group, based at our Leeds office. As our Finance Analyst, you will support the Finance Director with delivery of key financial data to the Board. Your role will be vital in supporting the continued growth of Gough & Kelly by proactively providing up to date information. You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on gross profit margin across the group.
A key role in the finance function and the future growth of the business as the company seeks to improve profit margins.

Focus on gross profit margin across all sections of the business. Develop an in-depth understanding of the business and key metrics that drive decision-making to tailor reports accordingly. Produce timely and accurate weekly and monthly financial reports including KPIs. Job/event/contract costing analysis (both live and historic). Customer profitability analysis. Supporting the business through delivery of new analytics requests. Assist with completing the close of month end, including the involvement in the preparation of monthly data reporting packages. Ensure Group policies and procedures are followed, flagging any issues identified.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified or qualified by experience
- Have a minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in financial analysis and process improvement
- Be highly numerate with an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Have strong Microsoft Excel skills, including ODBC integration and advanced formulas
- Have the ability to present complex data and analysis in a high impact visual manner, drawing out the key messages and findings.
- Experience in using Power BI reporting would be desirable.
- Have working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and CASH Business Management System are desirable but not essential.
- Have strong organisation and planning skills to deliver information accurately and on time.
- Have a hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Have strong communication skills.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives on interpreting complex data to support departments in making decisions.
