Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience Closing Date: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant , with a minimum of 2 years\’ experience, to join our fast-faced team in Leeds. We have an excellent and ever-growing benefits package to set you on the right path from the day you join us: Salary up to £28k, depending on experience Monthly KPI bonus once passed training/ probation Holiday entitlement – increasing to 24 days, with length of service, plus 8 bank holidays Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Private Healthcare Scheme (with length of service) Employee Benefits Programme (with length of service) Ongoing training Pension Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Company social events Weekly BACS preparation – allocation of payments in Sage/upload payments to bank & send remittances Produce weekly supplier self-bills Invoicing Daily bank posting / post cheques for week (ensure all items on month end bank rec are posted) Bank reconciliations – across x4 Companies POA report – ensuring all credit balances are matched off – month end Supplier statement reconciliations – weekly / monthly & ensuring a full ledger reconciliation quarterly Daily purchase ledger – uploading to Lightyear/sending out for authorisation & importing to Sage Petty cash – recording / posted to Sage Franking post The ideal candidate will have: AAT Level 2 Certification in Accounting or qualified by experience Working of knowledge of Sage (desirable, but not essential) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel Demonstrable experience working in a finance team or similar role Excellent communication skills, especially telephone manner Professionalism Strong organisation and planning skills to deliver information accurately and on time. A hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines Thorough and high attention to detail A team player Highly communicative, personable and enjoys building relationships.
