About GotymeX

GotymeX is the product, technology and design hub of Tyme Group. We're reimagining digital banking across emerging markets. Our mission is to unlock human potential through transformative financial services that empower individuals and small businesses.

About The Design Team

We have an award-winning Design team comprising more than 30 UX Designers, UI Designers, Design System Designers, Motion Designers, UX Researchers, UX Writers, and Strategists. You'll join our UX Writing hub, a small, horizontal team that supports product squads across multiple markets and sets the standards the rest of the team writes against. Our commitment to excellence has earned us six prestigious design awards in recent years. For us, UX writing is a critical part of design - it's how the product explains itself. Every piece of copy carries tone, voice, accessibility, customer reality, and brand at once. We treat content as a craft and a system: page-level care plus pattern-level reuse.

Why work with GotymeX

  • Impactful work: Contribute directly to financial empowerment and access in emerging markets, on products used by 22M+ customers across two countries (and counting).
  • Innovation-driven environment: Work alongside engineers and designers building on AWS Cloud, AI-augmented tooling, and modern design systems. AI as a thinking partner, not a text generator, is the default way of working.
  • International and collaborative culture: A dynamic team that values continuous learning, deep collaboration across countries and time zones, while also attaining personal growth.
  • Learning and development: Paid seminars, conferences, expert-led training, and overseas exposure to accelerate your career.
  • Award-winning design culture: Six recent international design awards and a team that has built a reputation to win more.

About The Role

We're looking for a Mid-level UX Writer who can hold both sides of the role: writing for live product work and shaping the standards the rest of the team writes against. This is a role about systems and scale. We need someone who thinks about copy in terms of patterns, optimisation, and reuse rather than page-by-page. The right person uses AI as a thinking partner to spot patterns and stress-test decisions, not just as a text generator. The team's work is increasingly visible across design, engineering, QA, and legal, so a history of cross‑functional success is important.

What You'll Do

  • Write customer-facing copy for products, such as microscopy, notifications, and error messages, with attention to clarity and consistency at the journey level, not just the screen level.
  • Contribute to and evolve our content standards, style guides, and pattern libraries; this is the system the rest of the team writes against.
  • Use AI tooling actively to identify inconsistencies, draft variants for testing, and interrogate content decisions before committing to them.
  • Review product messaging before it goes live to maintain quality standards across markets.
  • Review user data to understand customer behaviour and adapt messaging accordingly, as well as measure the impact of UX writing on user behaviour and adoption.
  • Coordinate with the UX Writing hub to ensure consistency, localisation, and accessibility.
  • Present and defend content decisions cross-functionally, including with partners outside design (engineering, QA, legal, brand).

Requirements

  • A passion for UX writing and content operations.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience writing for digital products.
  • A background in UX writing, product writing, content design, or digital copywriting, with a portfolio that demonstrates both execution and strategic thinking. Only applications with a shared portfolio will be considered.
  • A systems mindset, with comfort thinking about copy in terms of patterns, scalability, and optimisation, not just page-level craft.
  • Experience using AI as a thinking partner for content work.
