Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Main purpose of role:
To manage the warehouse days team effectively to ensure that all goods are moved in and out of our warehouse effectively and efficiently in accordance with operational compliance to deliver a world class service for our clients' customers. To ensure that Health and Safety requirements are strictly adhered to, training and development needs for the team are incorporated into your daily objectives. Support with recruitment needs alongside the operations senior management team.
Key responsibilities:
- To ensure that the team deliver a fully comprehensive goods in stock management process to enable a seamless order capture and service delivery to our customers.
- To ensure the team follow the relevant pick sheets/goods in sheets ensuring stock accuracy.
- All paperwork provided by the supplier is to ensure financial compliance and adhere to food safety standards.
- To ensure the team deal with the receipt of, handling of, and dispatch of products into and out of our warehouse in accordance with procedures.
- To follow the correct procedures ensuring that safe working practices are followed aligned to Health and Safety guidelines.
- To ensure that products are picked by the team for customers' orders, correctly packed and dispatched to the customers on the correct date and that the relevant paperwork is completed and procedures followed.
- To supervise the team to ensure that fresh and ambient stock is received in the correct specified condition (temperature, damages etc.), is put away in the correct location, booked in correctly in accordance with procedures and is rotated correctly.
- To supervise the team to keep all areas of the warehouse, fridges and coldstore to BRC accredited hygiene standards.
- To communicate with your manager and stock controllers if there are issues and problems as soon as possible to help make the resolution of issues easier.
- To carry out stock counts for the stock controllers and other counts as required on an ad-hoc basis.
- To suggest improvements to the company's purchasing, logistics and warehousing systems as appropriate and to implement agreed changes in systems and procedures.
- To undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence as required by their line manager.
