Our client is seeking a Yard Operative with a valid forklift licence to join their dynamic team. The role requires flexibility to work across two sites – Wolverton and Thurleigh. Duties
(including, but not limited to): Yard Operative Attend the daily 7:30am Toolbox Talk. Maintain a clean and safe yard environment, minimising risks and promptly reporting any concerns to the operations management team, verbally and via the Near Miss and Damages procedures. Conduct regular servicing, inspection and maintenance of all equipment. Undertake any tasks within the scope of the role as directed by line management. Prepare equipment for jobs as requested by the operations management team. Pick equipment in line with load lists. Load and unload equipment using various vehicle types, including counterbalance forklifts and telehandlers. Secure loads to trailers and kit to stillages using ratchet straps. Ensure trailers are strapped in compliance with VOSA regulations. Collaborate with operations personnel to check and maintain accurate stock levels. Ensure stock is serviced and prepared for despatch. Participate actively in annual stock checks and asset identification. Carry out manual lifting of stock, scaffolding, and equipment safely. Duties
(including, but not limited to): Ensure adherence to yard procedures regarding equipment labelling. Complete procedures for near misses, accident reporting, and damage documentation accurately. Accurately complete load lists. Notify Line Management of any items not returned from site. Report stock shortages and consumable requirements to Line Management. Health & Safety
(including, but not limited to): Promote and enforce health and safety standards consistently. Maintain awareness of relevant health and safety documentation, including the Health & Safety Policy. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions. Immediately report any equipment defects or unsafe conditions to your line manager. Report any accidents in the workplace to your line manager without delay. Comply fully with all personal responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act. General Responsibilities and Expectations

(including, but not limited to): Engage fully in training and development activities as per the company's training plan and mandatory requirements. Attend and participate in supervision sessions and an annual personal review. Salary - Β£30,000 per annum. There is an expectation of some overtime during the busy summer period. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Standard working hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break – 40 hours per week.
