We are seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client's team in the Hemel Hempstead area. This full-time role involves day shifts delivering to stores, homes, and sites. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safe and timely deliveries to various locations, including stores, homes, and sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle as required.
- Complete routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain excellent customer service as this role involves direct interaction with clients.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to completing assigned routes safely and efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience driving an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
- Valid UK Driving Licence, Full CPC qualification, and DIGI tachograph card.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting bulky items.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner.
- No more than six penalty points on licence; endorsements such as DR, DD, or IN are not accepted.
- Possession of the correct PPE, including high-visibility clothing and safety boots.
Employment Details & Remuneration
- Working hours: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Overtime paid at time and one-third for hours worked beyond scheduled shift.
- Annual salary: £30,000 (pro rata for 42.5 hours per week, no weekend work); salary negotiable based on age and experience.
- Holiday entitlement: 20 days per year (increased with length of service), plus all bank holidays and Christmas week off.
- Free on-site parking available.
- Location: Hemel Hempstead.
- Contract type: Permanent, full-time.
