We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to drive new business growth across the Platforms ecosystem, targeting Payment Facilitators, Merchant of Record models, Aggregators, Digital Wallet Providers, Orchestration Platforms, and ISVs. This role requires a strategic, consultative seller with deep payments expertise, a strong network, and a proven track record of winning complex, long-cycle deals. How we work:
We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.
The impact you will have:
- Identify, target, and onboard new Payment Facilitators, Merchant of Record (MoR) models, Aggregators, Digital Wallet Providers, Payment Orchestration Platforms, and ISVs.
- Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets through high-quality new business sales execution.
- Build and nurture strong relationships at C-suite and operational levels, using structured account mapping to develop, influence, and close long-cycle opportunities.
- Deploy a highly strategic sales approach: research and prioritise target accounts, understand their commercial and technical drivers, map buying centres, create multi-threaded relationships, and develop long-term value-led engagement plans.
- Own the full sales process from lead generation to contract signature, deeply understanding client requirements and building compelling, consultative, ROI-based propositions with clear buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate, maintain, and continually develop a comprehensive understanding of the payments ecosystem, competitive landscape, and relevant regulatory/commercial trends.
- Build and leverage a strong industry network to enhance Paysafe’s brand presence while establishing yourself as a trusted subject matter expert in platforms and complex payment models.
- Deliver excellent verbal and written communication, producing high-quality presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and executive-level narratives.
- Maintain accurate, timely CRM reporting and pipeline management to ensure precise revenue forecasting.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams across product, legal, risk, onboarding, and marketing to drive deals forward and contribute to a strong, ambitious, and supportive team culture.
- Travel internationally as required for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.
What we’re looking for:
- Educational degree in related field such as Business Administration, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years of new business sales experience in payments, ideally within a payment processor, acquirer, or related B2B payments environment.
- Deep understanding of complex business models, especially Payment Facilitators and Merchant of Record models, with experience selling into these structures.
- Strong strategic sales mentality, with a proven ability to run structured, insight-led, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Excellent internal stakeholder management, able to collaborate cross-functionally and secure alignment at senior levels.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, especially for in-person meetings, commercial pitches, and proposal writing.
- Ability to understand complex technical and commercial requirements, provide thoughtful recommendations, and rapidly build consensus with senior external and internal stakeholders.
- Proven success operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a strong appreciation for disciplined pipeline management and accurate revenue forecasting.
