The Role

As an Accounts Payable Apprentice at 8x8, you'll join a fast-moving Finance team and get hands‑on experience from day one. You will learn how a global technology business manages its financial operations while working towards a recognised qualification and building real‑world skills that set you up for a long‑term finance career.

What You’ll Do

  • Process and match purchase invoices against purchase orders
  • Set up and maintain supplier accounts, ensuring accurate records
  • Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Support payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, and international payments)
  • Help with month‑end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers professionally
  • Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks and process improvement projects

What We’re Looking For

  • You don't need prior finance experience—curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
  • 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (including Maths and English), or equivalent
  • Strong numerical and analytical thinking
  • Organised, methodical, and dependable
  • Good communicator — written and verbal
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Eager to study for an AAT qualification.
