We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physician Assistant to join our hospital-based medical team. In this vital role, you will work alongside physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in surgical procedures (if applicable), inpatient rounds, and follow-ups.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient and family education regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Coordinate care transitions, discharge planning, and patient referrals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the NCCPA.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Hospital-based clinical experience strongly preferred (ICU, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Surgical preferred, depending on the specialty area).
- BLS/ACLS certification (additional certifications may be required based on department).
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
