We’re hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a collaborative outpatient orthopedic clinic where patient care comes first. In this role, you’ll support recovery through skilled, individualized treatment provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the established plan of care.
  • Deliver PTA-appropriate treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, and other interventions within scope.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR consistent with clinic policy and payer requirements.
  • Communicate patient progress, clinical observations, and any changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients on home exercises, movement strategies, and proper equipment use to support safe functional independence.
  • Ensure compliance with New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation requirements.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and clinic initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
  • Active New Jersey PTA license (or eligibility pending).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and patient care approach.
  • Reliable, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high standards.
