Job Title: SEO Account Director
Location: Sheffield / Hybrid – 2 days a week in Sheffield city centre office

What you’ll be doing:
Setting the pace: Own and lead client strategies from day one – developing ambitious, effective SEO campaigns that meet KPIs and exceed expectations.
Mentoring and developing: Provide guidance and training to your team, supporting SEO Managers and Senior Account Managers to reach their full potential.
Innovating beyond the playbook: Spot opportunities for fresh thinking and better ways of working. Share new ideas, tools, and strategies that keep the agency ahead of the curve.
Client leadership: Build long-term partnerships with clients—taking charge of communications, presenting results, and navigating complex challenges with confidence.
Raising the standard: Lead performance reviews, troubleshoot SEO issues, and ensure campaign delivery is always on point—whether you’re hands-on or delegating effectively.
Shaping the agency: Help improve processes, refine workflows, and support wider business growth through scalable ways of working and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Skills and know-how:
- Deep, up-to-date knowledge of all things SEO—from technical audits to content strategy and trend analysis
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to improve, document, and roll out new internal processes
- Confident using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and more
- High-level time and task management skills—balancing client needs, team support, and strategy
Experience and attitude:
- 4–5+ years in SEO, with at least some of that in a senior or leadership capacity (agency experience preferred)
- Proven track record of managing large retainers and complex client portfolios
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Always proactive, never complacent—you lead by example, drive standards up, and make people around you better
- You’re not just an SEO expert—you’re a mentor, a strategist, and a trusted advisor
