Turn shopper insight into action. We’re looking for an experienced Shopper Marketing Manager to join a leading over-the-counter healthcare business and help shape how its brands show up across both online and offline channels. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role sitting between brand marketing, customer teams and activation partners. You’ll bring the voice of the shopper into category planning, turn insight into practical action and help deliver stronger performance at the point of sale.

You’ll need solid FMCG experience, a strong understanding of shopper marketing and the confidence to work across a busy, highly collaborative client-side environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning shopper strategy across multiple over-the-counter healthcare brands and channels
  • Building a clear understanding of shopper profiles, behaviours, purchasing drivers and barriers
  • Turning research and data into practical recommendations for customer and sales teams
  • Developing annual shopper plans by brand, category and channel
  • Creating initiatives that improve visibility, availability and sell-out both in-store and online
  • Shaping activity across pricing, claims, sampling, in-store advertising and promotional mechanics
  • Supporting category growth plans, merchandising guidance and perfect-store execution
  • Identifying distribution, stock and on-shelf opportunities and helping close performance gaps
  • Working closely with brand, category, customer, insights, finance, legal, regulatory and supply teams
  • Managing below-the-line investment, budgets and ROI
  • Monitoring progress against monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
  • Helping build a more shopper-focused and customer-led mindset across the wider team

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Strong FMCG experience
  • Previous shopper marketing or trade marketing experience
  • Experience developing and delivering shopper plans across multiple channels
  • A strong understanding of customer, category and commercial dynamics
  • Confidence using shopper insight and data to shape strategy and activity
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience within consumer healthcare or another regulated industry
  • Experience working across both brand marketing and commercial functions
  • Previous client-side or secondment experience
  • A business or scientific degree

How You Work

You’ll be strategic but practical, able to balance longer-term thinking with immediate business priorities. You’ll also be collaborative, persuasive and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. Things can move quickly, so you’ll need to be adaptable, solutions-focused and confident taking ownership. A couple of visits to the Reading office will be required each month.

Why Apply?

  • Work with well-known over-the-counter healthcare brands
  • Shape shopper strategy across both physical and digital retail
  • Collaborate with experienced brand, commercial and category teams
  • Take real ownership of strategy, investment and performance
  • Join at an important time, with the opportunity to make an immediate impact

The team would ideally like someone in place as soon as possible, with the current postholder leaving at the beginning of September. Sound like your kind of challenge? We’d love to hear from you.
