OTE circa £51,850, based on historic average bonus payout
Full-time

This is a videography role first. Being handy with an iPhone isn’t quite going to cut it.

We’re working with a leading hospitality group to find a seriously talented Videographer & Photographer to create content across its best-known brands.

These are busy, energetic hospitality businesses with loads going on.

Packed venues. Brilliant food and drink. Live entertainment. Big events. Collaborations. New openings. And plenty of interesting characters.

In other words, there should rarely be a shortage of something worth pointing a camera at.

The challenge is turning all of that into content people actually want to watch.

The role

This is a hands-on creative role for someone with genuine craft behind the camera.

You’ll spend plenty of time out in venues capturing what’s happening for real, then turning it into brilliant social-first video and photography.

Video is the priority, so you’ll need to be an excellent videographer and editor.

But photography matters too, and you should be confident producing high-quality stills for social, websites, CRM, PR and wider campaigns.

This isn’t a studio job.

One day you might be filming a food collaboration. The next it could be live entertainment, a menu launch, a packed Saturday night or simply spotting a brilliant moment nobody planned for.

What you’ll be doing

  • Shooting high-quality video and photography across multiple hospitality venues

  • Creating social-first content for Instagram Reels, Stories and other platforms

  • Capturing food, drinks, people, entertainment and the atmosphere of the venues

  • Editing short-form video with a strong understanding of pace, music and storytelling

  • Creating photography for social, CRM, websites, PR and campaigns

  • Planning shoots around launches, collaborations, entertainment and key trading moments

  • Working closely with marketing and venue teams to find stories worth capturing

  • Building and maintaining a strong library of video and photography

  • Taking campaign ideas and translating them into great visual content

  • Keeping on top of visual and social trends without simply copying whatever everybody else is doing

  • Bringing your own creative ideas to the table

What we’re looking for

The portfolio is the big one.

We’re looking for someone whose work immediately makes you think “they know what they’re doing.”

You’ll need:

  • At least 2 to 3 years’ professional videography and photography experience

  • A genuinely strong portfolio across both video and photography

  • Particularly strong videography and video-editing skills

  • Experience creating short-form, social-first content

  • A great eye for composition, light, movement and storytelling

  • Confidence filming in busy, unpredictable environments

  • Experience editing with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar

  • The ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality

  • Good organisation and the ability to juggle multiple shoots and deadlines

  • A genuine interest in food, drink, hospitality, music and culture

You might currently work for a video, photography, creative or content agency and fancy spending more time getting properly under the skin of a couple of brands rather than shooting for 20 different clients.

Hospitality experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential.

What matters is that you’re comfortable getting out into venues, working around real customers and teams, and capturing the energy of what’s actually happening rather than trying to recreate everything in a controlled studio environment.

A few useful bits

The main camera kit and equipment you need will be provided.

There will be regular travel between venues, but you don’t need your own car. Travel can be arranged by train and taxi where needed.

The role is based from the company’s Manchester HQ, although naturally a lot of your week will be spent out shooting content. There is also some practical flexibility around where editing is done.
