Not every agency role is about selling flashy brands or chasing vanity campaigns. Some are about building relationships that genuinely matter. We’re working with an integrated agency that partners with organisations across clean tech, infrastructure, sustainability and highly regulated sectors, helping shape conversations around the industries driving long-term change.
They’re now looking for a commercially minded Business Development lead to help grow relationships, spot opportunities and open doors in a way that feels credible, thoughtful and human. This isn’t a hard‑nosed sales role. It’s much more about networks, trust, conversations and long‑term partnerships. And importantly, they’re open‑minded about background. You might already be in an agency environment, or you may come from somewhere completely different. What matters most is your ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and confidently operate in technical or complex sectors.
If you can hold your own speaking to engineers, public sector leaders or operational teams, while spotting commercial opportunities naturally, you’ll likely fit in well here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and developing new commercial relationships across target sectors
- Growing existing networks and identifying partnership opportunities
- Leading conversations with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers
- Supporting agency growth through strategic outreach and relationship‑building
- Working closely with leadership to identify sectors, opportunities and market trends
- Representing the agency confidently at meetings, events and industry conversations
- Helping shape long‑term growth rather than chasing quick wins
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Strong relationship‑building and networking skills
- Commercial awareness without the “pushy sales” energy
- Confidence speaking with technical, operational or senior stakeholders
- Ability to build trust quickly and communicate clearly
- A proactive mindset, someone who naturally opens doors and creates momentum
Backgrounds that could work well
- Agency business development
- Public sector partnerships
- Transport or infrastructure
- Tech for good / sustainability
- Stakeholder engagement
- Commercial relationship management
- Strategic partnerships
You do not need to be a “career agency salesperson” to succeed here.
Why Join?
- Work with organisations operating in sectors that genuinely matter
- Join a well‑regarded integrated agency with a strong culture and reputation
- Opportunity to shape growth and make a visible commercial impact
- Office‑led environment with a collaborative team culture, and very flexible working
- A business that values relationships, honesty and long‑term thinking over ego
If you’re someone who builds trust naturally, spots opportunities commercially, and prefers meaningful relationships over hard selling, we’d love to hear from you.
