Influencer Lead: help shape and grow a performance-led influencer offering, at one of the North's leading performance marketing agencies.

Location - Leeds (two days a week in the office)

Salary – £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)

Type - Permanent

About the role

We're working with a B Corp-certified performance marketing agency with offices in Leeds, Manchester and London, ~20 years of growth behind it and a client list of well‑known brands. Everything they do comes back to one question: did it perform? Influencer marketing already happens here, through affiliate CPA deals, paid social creator content and specialist partners, but in pockets. This new investment hire will bring real influencer expertise to pull it together into a joined-up, performance‑led proposition: micro‑influencers, affiliate partnerships and creator content that drives sales, not celebrity endorsements or big‑budget ambassador campaigns. You won't be doing it all yourself. Specialist teams handle activation, and your job is to bring the expertise, put the right processes in place and make recommendations clients buy into.

What you'll do

  • Help shape the agency's influencer proposition with leadership, bringing structure to existing creator activity across affiliate and paid social
  • Set influencer strategy for key clients, with commercial performance at the centre of every plan
  • Develop performance‑led creator programmes (micro‑influencers, CPA partnerships, seeding and UGC), working with paid social on whitelisting and partnership ads
  • Support affiliate on TikTok Shop opportunities and feed creators into SEO, digital PR and content campaigns where it makes sense
  • Lead creator sourcing, vetting and negotiation, from audience quality and brand fit to rates, usage rights and contracts
  • Set KPIs and report on conversions, sales and ROI, keeping all activity compliant with ASA, CAP Code and CMA rules
  • Be the go-to influencer expert, upskilling the wider team and supporting pitches and client presentations

What you'll bring to the table

Experience & background

  • 4+ years' experience in influencer or creator marketing, agency or in‑house
  • A performance‑led track record. You can show creator activity that drove sales, not just reach
  • Strong affiliate, CPA or partnership marketing experience, or a clear understanding of how influencer and affiliate work together
  • Confident with tracking, attribution and reporting, and able to link creator activity to commercial results
  • Experience sourcing, vetting and negotiating with creators and talent agents, with a feel for current rate benchmarks
  • A good understanding of how creator content performs and is distributed across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
  • Experience working alongside other channels, particularly paid social, affiliate, digital PR or SEO

Mindset & approach

  • A builder. You want to help shape a proposition, not just manage campaigns
  • Commercially minded. You think in sales, margin and return, not follower counts
  • A strategist who knows how to get things done through other people, specialist teams and external partners
  • Comfortable with a blank page. The offering is still taking shape and you'll help decide what it becomes
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys working across teams and making everyone better at influencer

Bonus points

  • Hands‑on TikTok Shop or social commerce experience
  • Experience with influencer discovery, management or social listening tools (Brandwatch or similar)
  • Exposure to developing a new service or proposition within an agency
  • New business or pitch experience
  • Running training sessions or workshops

What great looks like at 90 days

  • You've audited current creator activity across affiliate and paid social, and know where the quick wins are
  • A clear influencer proposition is taking shape, with processes, tools and pricing in development
  • You've brought an influencer strategy to at least one client or pitch, with performance at its core

Why join?

  • You’ll help build an offering, not just inherit it
  • A performance agency that already speaks your language: data, attribution and commercial results
  • Specialist teams across paid social, affiliate, SEO, digital PR and content to activate your thinking
  • Brands you'll know, and an agency consistently ranked among the best in the North
  • B Corp certified, with the backing of a global marketing group
  • The offering is still being shaped, so there's real room to grow with it

This isn't for you if

  • Your experience is mostly celebrity talent and big‑budget ambassador deals
  • You measure success in reach and impressions, not sales
  • You only want to run campaigns, with no interest in the strategy behind them

Fancy it?

If you know exactly which creators would shift product for a brand, and can prove it in the numbers, this is the role for you. We're looking for influencer specialists who are commercially sharp, performance‑led and excited by the chance to help build something new.

Builders with a strategic head, an affiliate brain and the drive to turn influencer from a side project into a proper proposition. That's who we want to speak to.
