This is an opportunity to build something special. We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead and evolve the marketing function for a growing technology-led business with ambitious plans for the future. Marketing is central to the next phase of growth. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit a strategy and execute it—you’ll be responsible for defining it, shaping it, and delivering it. You’ll lead a small but growing team of marketers and content creators, bringing together brand, digital, content, campaigns, and communications to create a marketing engine that drives awareness, engagement, and commercial growth. For the right person, there’s a clear pathway to Marketing Director.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of the marketing strategy, ensuring every activity supports wider business objectives and growth ambitions. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll help shape how the business positions itself in the market, generates demand, engages customers, and builds long-term brand value. This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking strategically—but isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and make things happen.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three marketing professionals
  • Help move the marketing function to be data and customer first
  • Own the marketing roadmap and ensure activity is aligned to commercial priorities
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and market presence
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional direct channels
  • Drive lead generation and customer acquisition initiatives
  • Manage content, social media, email marketing, PR, and communications activity
  • Work closely with sales and leadership teams to maximise marketing effectiveness
  • Analyse campaign performance and optimise activity based on data and insights
  • Manage marketing budgets and ensure strong ROI across all activity
  • Identify new opportunities to increase brand awareness, engagement, and market share
  • Build scalable marketing processes to support future growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a marketing role or similar leadership role
  • Experience developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
  • Strong people management skills with experience leading and developing teams
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering measurable results
  • Experience across data, digital marketing, content, campaigns, lead generation, and brand
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on when required
  • Data-driven approach to decision making

Bonus Points

  • Experience within technology, manufacturing, electronics, or B2B sectors
  • Experience supporting business transformation or high-growth environments
  • Exposure to international marketing activity
  • Experience building marketing functions or teams

What Really Matters

  • You think strategically but execute brilliantly
  • You’re commercially aware and growth-focused
  • You enjoy developing people and building high-performing teams
  • You challenge the status quo and look for better ways of doing things
  • You’re ambitious and excited by the opportunity to shape a business’s future

The Business

This is an established and respected organisation operating within a specialist technology and consumer products sector. With ambitious growth plans, significant investment, and a strong market presence already in place, the business is now entering an exciting phase where marketing will play a pivotal role in driving future success. You’ll join a collaborative leadership team that genuinely values the contribution marketing can make to the wider business.

What You’ll Get

  • £55,000 – £65,000 salary depending on experience
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
  • Clear progression pathway to Marketing Director
  • Opportunity to shape and lead the entire marketing function
  • Significant autonomy and influence within the business
  • Supportive leadership team with ambitious growth plans
  • A chance to make a visible impact on business performance
