The Role / Position
The General Manager will be responsible for leading the overall business performance of GoSolar.ie, ensuring the company is positioned to support continued growth while maintaining high standards across customer service, installation delivery, and team performance. Working closely with the Directors, the successful candidate will lead the coordination of day-to-day business activities while helping shape the long-term development of the organisation. The role requires a commercially driven and operationally capable leader with strong experience within the solar, renewable energy or electrical sector. This position will play a key role in strengthening internal structures, improving operational performance, supporting revenue growth and building a scalable organisation capable of supporting future expansion.
Areas of Responsibility
Operational Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the business across installations, sales operations, logistics, administration and customer support.
- Ensure installation schedules, staffing resources, and operational capacity are effectively aligned with customer demand and growth targets.
- Maintain oversight of project delivery to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on time and to expected quality standards.
- Improve coordination between office-based departments and field installation teams.
- Introduce and enhance operational systems, workflows, reporting structures and business processes to improve efficiency and visibility.
- Ensure compliance with SEAI standards, Safe Electric requirements, ISO procedures and health.
