Network Educator (Band 7)
North Thames Paediatric Network (NTPN)
Band 7 | 22.5 hours per week | Fixed-term contract until 31 July 2027
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Thames Paediatric Network (NTPN) as a Network Educator (Band 7) on a fixed-term basis for six months, ending no later than 31 July 2027.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced educator to support the development and delivery of high-quality education programmes across the Network, with a particular focus on the Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Network (ODN).
Working closely with the Network team, clinical leads and partner organisations, you will help develop and deliver education that supports safe, effective and evidence-based care for children and young people across the North Thames region.
The North Thames Paediatric Network brings together healthcare professionals and organisations to improve outcomes for children and young people through education, quality improvement, service development and collaboration. Although this role has a primary focus on the Surgery in Children ODN, there will also be opportunities to contribute to education programmes across other Network workstreams and ODNs, with support from the wider Network team.
What we offer:
Flexible hybrid working
The opportunity to work with colleagues across a large paediatric network
A collaborative and supportive team environment
Main duties of the job
As a Network Educator, you will help healthcare professionals develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide high-quality care for Children and Young people across the region. Through innovative, inclusive and evidence-based education, you'll support learning that improves practice, strengthens collaboration and helps teams deliver the best possible outcomes. Your expertise, curiosity and commitment to developing others will make a lasting difference to both the workforce and the patients and families they serve
Working for our organisation
We are committed to recruiting the best person for the job through a fair, open and consistent process that is free from bias and discrimination.
We are working towards becoming an anti-racist organisation. This means creating a workplace where every colleague feels seen, heard and valued, and where racism in any form has no place. Our anti-racism commitment is backed by action through our Anti-Racism Statement and action plan, developed in collaboration with our REACH staff network.
We actively challenge discrimination, dismantle barriers and embed equity across all aspects of our workforce, including recruitment, progression and development. All applicants will receive equal consideration regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, health condition or employment history.
We particularly welcome applications from ethnically diverse communities, people with disabilities or long-term health conditions, and LGBTQ+ community members. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a member of the Business Disability Forum, and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
Our staff networks, including REACH, PRIDE, ENABLED and Women's Networks, are active and executive supported. These employee-led networks play a vital role in shaping an inclusive culture at GOSH and are open to all colleagues.
Together, we are building a culture where inclusion is not optional - it is essential.
