Gosh! are currently recruiting a Production Operative for the Boxing department on the night shift, 10pm - 6am. This is a part‑time opportunity as part of a job share, working Monday‑Tuesday or Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The Production Operative assists with all aspects of carrying out daily production tasks from weighing up ingredients for processing, to palletising finished product and all operations in between. Completing tasks to maximum efficiency whilst maintaining low levels of waste, maximising outputs, working safely and ensuring high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities – Operations- Assisting in the packing of all Gosh! food products.
- Operating machinery and equipment as required for the above activity.
- Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties as directed.
- Assisting with the achievement of production targets.
- Minimising production costs.
- Minimising wastage.
- Carrying out high standards of food quality and food safety.
- Complying with Company hygiene policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of personal hygiene.
- Monitoring and recording quality and food safety performance where applicable.
- Reporting any unsafe practices that could affect food safety.
- Working in a safe manner with due consideration for personal Health & Safety and that of co-workers at all times.
- Reporting any unsafe working practices.
- Attending Company Training courses/sessions that support continuous personal development to ensure manufacturing capability keeps pace with or exceeds customer requirements. This will cover food quality, food safety, health & safety and other aspects of competence required by legislation.
- Demonstrating competence in trained factory tasks.
- Following information and instruction to the best of one’s ability.
- Functioning to the best of one’s ability within the production team, treating other members of staff with dignity and respect.
- Communicating effectively with co-workers and Management.
- Any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs.
