ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will be varied and interesting, working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide high quality support focused on maximising the outcomes for all students who need support.
At Jesmond Park Academy, 100 students per year group in Key Stage 3 normally receive some form intervention. Furthermore, the school has a SEND cohort of 300 students and an EAL cohort of 600 students, with a small proportion of those students also needing support with their language acquisition.
The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of supporting students improve their skills through 1:1 sessions and small group interventions. They may have primary or secondary school experience.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking to appoint experienced and energetic HLTA to take a leading role in supporting students with literacy and Speech and Language. However, a high level of SEN knowledge and numeracy skills and excellent ICT skills will be required. The people appointed will have an excellent track record of supporting students improve their skills through 1:1 sessions and small group interventions. They may have primary or secondary school experience.
