This is a fixed-term position to cover a maternity leave for up to 1 year, or on return of the permanent postholder.
The English, Film and Media department is highly successful and consists of fifteen members of staff, ranging from dynamic, innovative early-career teachers to more experienced members of the team who work collaboratively in an inclusive, diverse, creative and supportive environment. We are committed to academic excellence, inspiring student engagement, offering a rich extra-curricular programme and supporting both personal and professional growth. The successful candidate will teach KS3 through to KS5. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the subject who is able to inspire both students and colleagues.

- An outstanding classroom practitioner
- A passion for teaching English and clear understanding of KS3, GCSE and A level curriculums
- Have consistently high expectations of students of all abilities and the resilience to help all to succeed
- An effective team player who can contribute to a collaborative and supportive working environment
- A proven track record of excellent achievement at KS3
- Excellent communication and ICT skills
- A commitment to fresh and exciting methods of delivering the curriculum
