Your Role

We are looking for a dedicated Attendance & Welfare Officer to help improve attendance and support pupils and families to overcome barriers to education. This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with students, parents and external agencies to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils and families to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence
  • Manage a caseload and deliver targeted interventions
  • Undertake home visits and maintain accurate records
  • Work with safeguarding teams and external agencies to support vulnerable pupils
  • Monitor and analyse attendance data and contribute to whole‑school strategies

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people or families in education or social care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
