Your Role
This is a role dedicated to supporting one of our sixth form tutors who is registered blind.
Responsibilities include, day-to-day administration and technology assistance, classroom management and building orientation support, ensuring all duties are carried out safely and efficiently.
Although not exhaustive a typical working week will include
- Supporting the tutor during class tutorials, 1-2-1 meetings with students and parents' and 6th form open evenings and events
- Assisting with technology and accessibility tools
- Note taking, creating documents and formatting
- Daily email management and administration
- Preparing teaching materials and resources
- Managing schedules and appointments
- Guiding and supporting the tutor around the building in a safe manner
- Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive learning environment

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about education and committed to providing exceptional support to our post 16 Tutor.
The role will suit someone who is extremely well organized, who is a clear communicator and able to convey information in a way that is easy to understand and free from ambiguity, someone who is proactive and who is keen to improve ways of working, actively supporting an inclusive and productive working environment.
You will be an excellent administrator with exceptional attention to detail, love all things technology and are very proficient in the use of Microsoft 365.

Qualifications
- Good general education with English and maths Grade C or above (or equivalent) essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification (or experience)
