The Opportunity: If you are an organised and hard-working Electrician and have the desire to be our qualifying supervisor, we want you to join our team which operates across the North West. With a solid reputation for excellence in electrical work, this team plays a big part in our overall success. Representing GOS as our Electrical QS for NICEIC, you will undertake a vital and varied role which includes:

  • Site Based Duties
  • Carry out or supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and testing works.
  • Conduct inspection and testing (initial and periodic), completing relevant certification.
  • Supervise and mentor electricians and apprentices on live projects.
  • Undertake quality checks and rectify any non-compliant work.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and ensure site compliance with technical and safety standards.
  • Liaise with site managers, clients, and contractors as required.
  • Office Based Duties
    • Review and authorise all electrical certification prior to issue.
    • Act as the main point of contact for external assessments (e.g., NICEIC annual audits).
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and compliance records.
    • Identify training needs and ensure ongoing competence of all electrical operatives.
    • Keep up to date with the latest updates to regulations (BS 7671, H&S etc.).
    • Support estimating/design teams with technical input during tendering.

    What qualifications and experience will I need?

    • Preferable - Previous experience as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
    • C&G 2391 (or equivalent) inspection and testing qualification
    • Be knowledgeable and competent with BS7671:2018
    • General health and safety knowledge
