Gortmore is working with a leading contractor who is looking for a Site Engineer on a Rail infrastructure project in the Northumberland area.
The candidate must:
- Have previous experience working on Rail projects involving Civils, Soil Nails, RC Structures, service/drainage installation, etc.
- Monitor, manage, and distribute project information to the site team, ensuring accurate setting out and dimensional control.
- Ensure the works are constructed according to the latest design and agreed specifications.
- Ensure Project QA procedures are followed and the site diary is maintained.
- Be competent in AutoCAD, reading drawings, and quantifying/ordering materials such as concrete, rebar, drainage, and earthworks materials.
- Carry out ITPs, KPIs, RFIs, etc.
- Possess excellent communication skills for distributing project information to colleagues.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to raise potential issues promptly.
