Are you passionate about working with children in Sport and looking for a rewarding career? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Activity Leader to join the team at Gorsey Bank Primary School. You will play a vital role in providing safe, fun, and educational experiences for primary school children.

Your responsibilities will include supervising children, organising and preparing appropriate play-based activities, and ensuring the environment is left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of each session.

If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be, then we would love to hear from you. This position is contracted on a 10 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.

Job Purpose:

  • Support high quality, child-centred sports activities that meet the needs of all children and their families, including those with additional needs.
  • Provide a safe, stimulating environment, ensuring toys and resources are properly used, maintained and stored, reporting any worn or damaged materials to the Manager.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to support sports activities that children enjoy.
  • Experience of working with children aged 4 – 11 years is advantageous.
  • Ability to contribute to a safe and calm play-based environment.
