Gorse Hill is an elegant mansion set in the beautiful countryside of Surrey surrounded by woodland and formal gardens, yet only minutes from the centre of Woking.

Having undergone significant refurbishment, it now offers a dedicated 10,000sq ft ballroom, conference, meetings, celebrations and wedding venue, 67 bedrooms, serviced offices and guest gym, making this one of the prime venue choices in the Surrey region.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for implementing standard operating procedures across all hotel departments, ensuring effective performance management, contributing to the strategic business plan, maximising revenue opportunities, and overseeing hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager.

You will prioritise the customer experience by analysing guest feedback and implementing action plans.

Collaborating with department heads, you will lead recruitment efforts, foster team development, and promote a culture of service excellence.

What do we need from you?

  • Experience and a successful track record of managing at HOD level within a hotel or hospitality venue, experience within a major global brand is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills: Our operations Managers are strong leaders with the ability to motivate and manage our hotel team with extensive experience in creating and implementing strategies that drive success.
  • You'll have extensive experience of working within structured team environment and able to demonstrate effective influencing skills.
  • You'll be highly commercially driven, thinking like a customer but always acting like an owner.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a good team player.
  • Experience managing a busy team to improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues, recognising good performance.
  • Most importantly, to be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards.

Full Time - 45 hours per week.

Involves Shift Work / Managing Events.

Salary £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus tips.
