About Gorilla

Join us at Gorilla and be part of a mission to transform the energy industry. At Gorilla, you'll play a vital role in delivering cutting‑edge data solutions for a lower carbon future. We focus on providing efficient, reliable, and flexible SaaS solutions for data processing and analysis in the energy sector. Together, we’re driving digital transformation, maximising ROI for clients, and contributing to achieving net‑zero emissions through technology and data‑driven insights.

About the Tech Enablement Team

The Technology Enablement team exists to build and maintain the technical foundation of Gorilla – so that everyone else can do their best work. We’re an internal‑facing engineering team with a wide remit: from infrastructure strategy and platform tooling to AI frameworks and self‑service capabilities. If you want ownership, variety, and the satisfaction of making a real difference to the people around you – rather than chasing external metrics – this is the team for you. You’ll be working on problems that cut across the entire company, with high trust and high impact from day one.

Where and how you’d work

Hybrid or Remote First: Our flagship office is in Antwerp. We also have an office in London and co‑working spaces in Reading (UK), Austin (US), Melbourne (ANZ). This is a hybrid or Remote First role open to the EU time zone. If you live near our office, it would be great to see you there; otherwise you have a choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office, at home or a bit of both, it’s up to you.

Your Role

What you’ll do in your first 6–12 months:

  • Partner closely with our existing senior engineer to build shared ownership of key platforms and tooling, removing single points of failure across the team.
  • Help improve and expand our AI tooling and frameworks, making them more capable and accessible for the broader Product team.
  • Contribute to ongoing infrastructure and platform initiatives – from standardisation projects to self‑service capabilities that reduce friction for internal teams.

What You’ll need:

  • Hands‑on experience building or maintaining internal tooling in an engineering or SaaS environment.
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
  • Comfort with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices like using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Curiosity about AI/LLM tooling and a willingness to work at the frontier of what’s possible.
  • A generalist mindset – you’re comfortable moving across different parts of the stack and picking up new technologies as needed.
  • Strong communication skills – you can explain technical work clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership and proactivity – you spot problems early and take initiative to solve them.

What’s in it for you:

  • Flexible work options – whether you choose Office Mix or Remote First Mix (currently available within certain time zones and locations).
  • Country‑specific mobility benefits, and the ability to work flexible hours.
  • You will be equipped with the best technology for remote work.
  • A job with purpose. At Gorilla, we’re not just watching the world change – we’re making it happen! We provide cutting‑edge data services to energy retailers, helping them tackle climate change while keeping the lights on; we’re here to make a big impact and have some fun along the way.
  • Renumeration Approach that is clear and no‑nonsense based on your experience and location.
  • Core Benefits – wherever your location, you can expect a generous PTO allowance and health insurance coverage.
  • Career growth opportunities. As Gorilla is growing at an incredible pace, you can leave your mark – growing alongside Gorilla.
  • Lifelong learning is part of our DNA, and we care about your individual dreams and ambitions, beyond just work.
  • International travel. We host Gorilla Company‑Wide Gatherings where we all get a chance to see each other in real life. Past locations have included Portugal, Amsterdam, and Wallonia.
