Your role as a Pre-sales Consulting & Commercial Solutions is critical in accelerating Gorilla’s growth by bridging the gap between our innovative SaaS platform and the strategic needs of energy and utility prospects. As a pivotal member of our commercial and customer-facing teams, your role is to bridge the gap between Gorilla’s platform capabilities and the business challenges of utilities and energy retailers. You partner closely with Sales, Delivery, Marketing, and Product teams to understand customer challenges, shape compelling solution narratives, and guide prospects through their journey from discovery to successful implementation.
You engage in sales opportunities through workshops, tailored demos, proposals, and trusted advisory. With a solid foundation in energy market knowledge and a commercial mindset, you will drive customer-facing discovery and pre-sales engagements - supporting prospects in understanding how Gorilla helps them optimise pricing, forecasting, billing, portfolio strategy, and reporting. You will act as a trusted advisor and compelling communicator of Gorilla’s value.
What you’ll do:
- Engage with prospects and customers to understand their pricing, forecasting, billing, and reporting needs, translating them into clear solution requirements that deliver value for our customers.
- Drive discovery workshops and customer presentations, positioning Gorilla as a trusted partner in navigating energy market complexity. Your role will demand the flexibility to travel to customer and prospect locations across Europe on a regular basis (multiple times a month).
- Create and deliver tailored product demonstrations that showcase Gorilla’s platform in alignment with each prospect’s business objectives.
- Support the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and value-based solution narratives that advance deal closure.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Leadership on opportunity strategy and market positioning.
- Benchmark competitors and partner offerings, helping Gorilla continuously sharpen its commercial differentiation.
- Ensure smooth handover into implementation teams, acting as an industry and product consultant to maintain momentum and customer trust.
- Provide structured feedback into Product Management based on recurring prospect needs and market trends, helping Gorilla evolve its roadmap.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in Software/SaaS presales, solution consulting, energy or commercial energy advisory roles.
- Proven ability to conduct customer-facing discovery workshops and deliver compelling solution demonstrations.
- Commercial mindset: confidence in supporting deal strategy, communicating ROI, and influencing buying decisions.
- French Language & Market Support - Professional fluency in French is highly valued (ability to confidently lead discovery workshops, customer presentations, and commercial discussions with French speaking prospects and stakeholders).
- Solid understanding of energy and utility market dynamics, particularly in areas such as pricing, forecasting, portfolio management, billing or settlement.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with strong presentation and stakeholder management capability (from practitioners to enterprise executive level influencing).
- A collaborative, proactive, high-ownership approach consistent with Gorilla’s culture.
