About Gorilla

Join us at Gorilla and be part of a mission to transform the energy industry. At Gorilla, you will play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge data solutions for a lower-carbon future. We focus on providing efficient, reliable, and flexible SaaS solutions for data processing and analysis in the energy sector. Together, we are driving digital transformation, maximizing ROI for clients, and contributing to achieving net-zero emissions through technology and data-driven insights.

Your Role

We are hiring our first dedicated Head of Data and Analytics to centralize data insights and establish a single source of truth across the organization. This is a high impact role where you will design, build, and own the company’s internal data stack from the ground up. You will work closely with the executive team and functional leaders to bring clarity, consistency, and confidence to how the company uses data to operate and make decisions. If you enjoy building systems from zero, setting standards that scale, and acting as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution, this role is for you.

What you will do

  • Design and build the company’s first centralized data warehouse from the ground up, providing end-to-end data visibility and establishing a single source of truth across the business.
  • Provide the executive team with the visibility required to manage the business while speeding up access to fundamental data needed.
  • Deliver high-impact, priority dashboards for executives and key stakeholders, focusing on clarity, usability, and actionability.
  • Build and own end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from systems such as HubSpot, internal product/platform data, and other key sources.
  • Define standardized data models, KPIs, and a company-wide data dictionary to ensure consistent reporting across teams.
  • Establish data governance and security controls, including role-based access tiers, to ensure the data platform meets internal and external security standards.

What You will need

  • Proven experience building a data function from scratch in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar cloud data warehouses.
  • Advanced SQL with strong data modeling and performance optimization skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python for ETL, analysis, or automation.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the confidence to focus on high-impact work.
  • Ability to clearly communicate data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, owning work end-to-end with little guidance.
  • A practical and problem-solving mindset.

What’s in it for you

  • Flexible work options - whether you choose Office Mix or Remote First Mix (currently available within certain timezones and locations). We offer country-specific mobility benefits, and the ability to work flexible hours. You will be equipped with the best technology for remote work.
  • A job with purpose - At Gorilla, we are not just watching the world change—we’re making it happen! We provide cutting-edge data services to energy retailers, helping them tackle climate change while keeping the lights on; we’re here to make a big impact and have some fun along the way.
  • Remuneration Approach which is clear and no-nonsense based on your experience and location.
  • Core Benefits - Wherever your location, you can expect a generous PTO allowance and health insurance coverage.
  • Career Growth opportunities - As Gorilla is growing at an incredible pace, you can leave your mark – growing alongside Gorilla. Lifelong learning is part of our DNA, and we care about your individual dreams and ambitions, beyond just work.
  • International Travel - We host Gorilla Company Wide Gatherings where we all get a chance to see each other in real life. Past locations have included Portugal, Amsterdam, and Wallonia.
