Multiple associate dentist positions are currently available across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and the surrounding areas. Tell us what matters most to you: UDA rate, NHS or mixed contract, private income split, working days, or location, and we’ll match you only to practices that genuinely fit. Whether you’re a Foundation dentist taking your first step, a dentist returning to the NHS after a career break, or an experienced associate looking for a better setup, there’s a position we can discuss with you.
Key details
- Multiple associate dentist positions available across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and surrounding areas
- UDA rates from £13 to £15, dependent on practice
- Locum rates up to £18
- NHS and mixed contract options available — private income splits of 45-50% at mixed sites
- Flexible sessions from 2 days per week, with full‑time availability at many sites
- Core Monday to Friday hours; selected practices offer late evenings and optional Saturdays
- Established patient lists available at a number of sites, with structured handover support where applicable
- Experienced nursing and reception teams across all practices
- Approachable clinical leads and day‑to‑day peer support; some sites have active Foundation trainer dentists on site
- Onboarding, shadowing, and peer review pathways available at selected practices
- Additional locations considered depending on your preferred commute
- Flexible start dates (up to September/October time)
Requirements
- Full GDC registration and a recognised dental degree (BDS or equivalent)
- Active NHS performer number, or actively in the process of obtaining one – Foundation dentists completing this year are welcome to apply
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- Minimum commitment of 2 clinical days per week
