Take it as a purely advisory Clinical Advisor position at 1 to 2 days per week, or combine advisory work with hands on NHS and private dentistry for a fuller week.

Either way, you'll help support and shape the clinical culture of a growing dental group.

  • The Clinical Advisor Role - What You'll Actually Do
  • Compliance and auditing: monitoring regulatory standards across the group, conducting radiography and patient record audits, and reviewing DAF reports
  • Recruitment and retention: supporting the identification and onboarding of new clinicians, and helping to foster an environment where Associates want to stay
  • Clinician development: working alongside the Clinical Director to design and deliver training programmes, including the group's internal CPD platform, and mentoring and coaching Associates to develop both clinical and professional skills
  • One to one oversight: ensuring regular, structured check ins with Associates are conducted and that any remedial actions are followed up promptly
  • Complaint management: overseeing patient complaint handling across the group, resolving issues professionally, and implementing processes to prevent recurrence
  • Quality assurance: leading regular reviews of clinical processes and recommending improvements alongside the wider management team

  • £425 per day for Clinical Advisor days, available as 1 to 2 days purely advisory or blended into a fuller week
  • £14+ per UDA if you choose to combine the role with clinical work
  • UDA volume negotiable
  • Flexible days, from 1 to 2 days purely advisory up to 5 days when blended with clinical dentistry
  • Multi-site travel to group practices 2 to 3 times per month
  • Advanced equipment including rotary endodontics, i Tero Trios intraoral scanner, and digital X-ray
  • Dentally software with i Pads in every surgery

  • Who We're Looking For
  • GDC-registered Associate Dentist (mandatory)
  • Active NHS Performer Number (mandatory)
  • Solid NHS clinical experience with confidence across general dentistry
  • A genuine interest in clinical leadership, mentoring, or teaching
  • Previous supervision or mentoring experience (desirable)
  • Organised, clinically rigorous, and comfortable working across multiple sites
