The Sports Hub and Coaching Assistant helps with the day‑to‑day running of the sports areas, making sure they are safe, clean, and welcoming for all users. The role focuses on giving great customer care, keeping areas well presented, and helping with sports sessions and events.
Key duties include:
- Overseeing sports areas
- Setting up and putting away equipment
- Helping with school and external sports events
- Keeping high standards of safety and cleanliness
The post holder will also help in areas such as the:
- Sports Hub Café
- Fitness suite cover
- Basic admin tasks when required
Health & Safety and codes of practice are to be complied with. There will be chances to support coaching, including PE lessons, after‑school clubs, and holiday clubs, as well as work with local primary schools. The role needs a flexible approach, with evening and weekend shifts. A positive attitude, strong team skills, and a real interest in sport are key. A willingness to complete training such as first aid or coaching awards is also important.
