You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience dealing with trade customers, contractors or construction businesses
  • Previous hire desk, equipment rental, trade counter, sales or operational experience

  • A friendly, professional and commercially minded approach
  • Good IT skills and confidence using databases and Microsoft Office
  • A reliable, hardworking attitude and willingness to get involved in practical tasks
  • The ability to safely handle equipment weighing approximately 15–20kg, with appropriate assistance or handling equipment where needed
  • A full UK driving licence, essential

Additional language skills, particularly an Eastern European language, would be welcome within this multilingual team, although they are not essential.
Working Hours & Package

  • Β£45,000 basic salary, covering Monday to Friday, 6am to 5pm, including paid breaks
  • Minimum two Saturdays per month, 7am to 1pm, paid as additional overtime
  • Discretionary annual performance-related bonus
  • Company vehicle following successful completion of probation
  • 28 days' annual leave, including bank holidays
  • Permanent employment with a growing business
  • Friendly, supportive and close-knit team
  • A varied position combining customer contact, equipment hire and hands-on operations

Why Apply?
If you're currently working in plant hire, tool hire, equipment rental, a builders' merchant or a related construction environment, this could be an excellent opportunity to put your industry knowledge to good use.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around construction equipment, enjoys working with trade customers and is equally comfortable managing the hire desk or helping colleagues with the practical side of the business.
