This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service, administration and organisational skills who enjoys working with people, maintaining high standards and supporting the smooth running of a busy environment.

You don't necessarily need previous experience within examinations or assessments. We would welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in retail, hospitality, customer service, leisure, reception or similar customer-facing environments, particularly those who have supported or supervised teams.

Full training will be provided.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy examinations centre.
  • Providing duty management cover in the Centre Manager's absence.

  • Completing checks on identification documents, candidate records and examination information.
  • Assisting with daily reporting, administration and accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensuring facilities, equipment and systems are ready for examination sessions.
  • Recording incidents, identifying potential risks and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Supporting local marketing initiatives and activities to increase awareness of the centre.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a professional, welcoming and well-organised environment.

What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident, approachable, highly organised and able to maintain excellent standards in a busy customer-facing environment.
Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong customer service experience, ideally within a busy operational environment.
  • Previous experience supporting, supervising, coaching or training colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence dealing with different personalities and handling challenging situations professionally.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
  • The ability to follow procedures carefully and maintain accurate records.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to support colleagues.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality, security and compliance standards.

Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure, contact centres, education or other service-led environments would be particularly relevant.

Previous examinations experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working hours and location:

  • Location: Stratford, East London
  • Salary: £33,000 per annum
  • Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Shift rota across Monday to Sunday, as the centre operates seven days a week

Candidates must be comfortable working a rotating shift pattern, including weekends as required.

What's in it for you?
Alongside a salary of £33,000 per annum, you will be joining an established organisation that values its employees and promotes a supportive, inclusive working environment.

The organisation offers a range of employee benefits designed to support wellbeing, work-life balance and professional development, together with comprehensive training to help you succeed in the position.
