Due to continued exciting growth our client, a £multi-million turnover manufacturer in the construction and temporary accommodation sector, now requires an additional experienced QS to join their commercial team.

Location: Hybrid role – 3 days office / 2 days home. East Yorkshire / Humberside location (commutable from Hull, Cottingham, Willerby, Hessle, Brough, Beverley, Goole, York, Pocklington, Malton, Bridlington, Driffield and surrounding areas).

The Job Role: The Senior Quantity Surveyor role is a newly created position following sustained growth across our client's commercial team. The role takes responsibility for:

  • Managing higher value (up to £6m) and complex client requirements and manufacturing projects.
  • Supporting a Managing QS with team guidance and development.
  • Management and submission of contracts, applications and orders.
  • Close control over pricing, costings and project deliverables and timescales.
  • Occasional site and customer-facing project visits.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders across operational, manufacturing, sales, technical and commercial teams.

The Person Needed: For the Senior Quantity Surveyor role our client is happy to consider applicants from a variety of QS backgrounds and sectors, but is looking for:

  • Good strong experience as a quantity surveyor, working in a professional construction related or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience of hands-on QS work across complex projects.
  • Excellent operational, commercial and organisational skills.
  • A desire to grow and develop with an ambitious business. (No leadership experience is required)

The Rewards: £50-60K Basic (depending on experience) + £3-5K Bonus. Excellent contributory pension, 25 days leave, employee benefits platform.
