Our client is an ambitious growing provider of property management technology and turn-key retrofit energy efficiency survey and install services. As part of a national growth, they require an Operations Manager (with industry experience) to lead a team of 30 retrofit assessors and drive positive improvement.
LOCATION
Hybrid – 4 days remote, 1 day at a Midlands office. West Midlands, Midlands, East Midlands, close to M5, M6, M62, M1, M42, M40, M4 or similar location is an ideal home location.
THE JOB ROLE
The Operations Manager role is key to growth and the successful delivery of our client’s energy efficiency, retrofit and installation / upgrade services. The role involves:
- Leading a team of 30 retrofit assessors, ensuring compliance and accuracy of completed surveys.
- Managing journey planning, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies in processes and procedures across the UK team.
- Responsibility for hiring, onboarding and organising training for new retrofit talent.
- Ensuring that company strategy and execution of survey and installation services comply with UK building regulations and schemes such as PAS2035.
- To manage and lead relationships with 3rd party retrofit installation partners across the UK.
THE PERSON NEEDED
For the Operations Manager role, prior retrofit and energy efficiency industry experience, along with other points listed, is ESSENTIAL:
- Strong technical knowledge across retrofit assessments and surveys e.g. ECO4.
- Strong understanding of government and industry energy efficiency legislation and compliance e.g. PAS2035 and TrustMark.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a qualified DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) or Retrofit Assessor.
- Team leadership experience in a commercial or business environment.
- Good operational, analytical and reporting skills, along with clear communication and written skills.
THE REWARDS
£50,000-£55,000 Basic salary +20% annual bonus (based on personal and company performance)
