Work is available 2-3 days a week on a rota basis. Ongoing temporary/casual work in a customer-facing role at a busy exam centre in central Birmingham, a short walk from New Street. The centre operates seven days a week and is looking for a steward to join them on a casual contract to help out on an ad-hoc basis over the next few months. This would suit a student who is available 2-3 days per week including weekends.
You will be working as a Steward and duties will involve:
- Meeting and greeting candidates as they arrive for their exam
- Escorting them through the exam centre
- Ensuring they arrive at designated exam room at the right time
- Adhering to social distancing at all times
About you:
- Experienced in customer service roles such as hospitality or retail
- Have excellent communication skills and able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to interact with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Comfortable working in a face-to-face customer environment
