Overview
We’re currently looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at our Penicuik branch on a part-time permanent basis.
Want to know more about us? Our practice is well equipped with digital x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasound. We offer laparoscopic spays and orthopaedic surgeries at our main surgery in Musselburgh. Client and patient care are our main focus and we do that by offering a friendly and supportive environment to work in. We are a nurse training practice and have the tools in place to develop our nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Patient care post op and day hospitalisation
- General anaesthetic and sedation preparation and monitoring
- Surgical prep of operation rooms and patients
- Laboratory duties
- Infection control
- Care and maintenance of equipment
- Nurse consultations
About You
We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who values teamwork and is committed to delivering excellent patient care. Due to this being a sole nurse role we are looking ideally looking for you to be a minimum of 2 years qualified.
Working Hours
This is a part-time permanent role working 27.5 hours per week. The shifts will be on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 8:30am-7:00pm in line with our work life balance ethos. You will also participate in the weekend rota (1:5 weekends, which will be based at Musselburgh).
