Gordon Street Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. We are a forward-thinking GP practice operated by East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership and are entering an exciting new phase of development. Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within a primary care setting, including:
- Chronic disease management clinics including diabetes, asthma, COPD and cardiovascular disease.

- Immunisations and vaccinations.
- Wound care and dressings.
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice.
- NHS Health Checks.
- Long-term condition monitoring and reviews.
- Infection prevention and control activities.
- Supporting quality improvement and population health initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

Job responsibilitiesJob Purpose: To provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within a busy GP practice, supporting the prevention, diagnosis and management of health conditions while promoting health and wellbeing. The post holder will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver a range of nursing services within scope of practice, including wound care, cervical screening, immunisations and vaccinations.
