We are looking for a Weekend Chef Teacher to join our Gordon Ramsay Academy team based in Woking who is an enthusiastic and charismatic individual that is passionate about cooking and sharing that knowledge with our guests through cookery classes and group events. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the best chefs in the business. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in offering the very best guest experience and in providing exceptional teaching and food quality standards in everything we do.
This is a part time position - weekend and evening shift availability is essential.
What you do as a Chef Teacher:
- You’ll guide guests on an unforgettable culinary journey, whilst teaching them essential skills and techniques.
- Be creative and adaptable when it comes to teaching, responding to guest questions in a positive way and being flexible within classes to cater to all skill levels, personalities and requirements.
- Be responsible for managing the hygiene of the kitchen and ensure all food safety standards are adhered to and demonstrated to the highest standards at all times.
- Support the Head Chef in the daily running of The Academy and development of classes and events as required.
- Assist in training, supervising and supporting junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the wider Gordon Ramsay Restaurants business, as well as with external partners and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum Chef de Partie level in a fresh food environment and possess a high level of cooking skills.
- Experience of teaching or tutoring.
- Experience of working in a cookery school.
- Available to work weekends.
- Experience dealing with both public guests and corporate clients, including private parties or bespoke events.
