We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our passionate team at the Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsay at the iconic Savoy Hotel. Home to hundreds of years of Hollywood and history, the Savoy Grill restaurant has seen some of the world’s most famous faces pass through its gilded doors within the legendary Savoy Hotel. Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsay is the very definition of ‘gourmet glamour’. Guests can choose from an array of classic dishes including Gordon’s signature Beef Wellington and Rum Baba, flambéed at the table for a little bit of dining drama. A fantastic showcase of the highest quality British produce.

As Senior Sous Chef you will:

  • Assist the Head Chef & Executive Chef manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen whilst supervising and developing the brigade.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, quality and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen.
  • Monitor and control ordering and stock.
  • Full Compliance with all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards as well as Gordon Ramsay Restaurants standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef & Head Chef with Menu planning and development bringing your culinary expertise and knowledge to a high performing kitchen brigade.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food.
  • Have the motivation and leadership skill to represent the Gordon Ramsay Brand and its world class hospitality standards.
  • Have previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef within a premium high-volume quality restaurant, preferably within fine dining.
  • Possess comprehensive culinary knowledge; previous experience of working in a Grill concept is desirable as well as experience with Josper Grill.
  • Have a solid understanding of classic cooking methods and seasonality, as well as an ability to innovate and create when needed.
  • Have a keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the standards and the highest levels of food quality at all times.
  • Have a strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team alongside the Executive Chef & Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen.
  • Have previous experience working in a similar role within a fine dining environment.
  • Be able to effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop a team while enhancing their skill level.
