We are currently looking for a People Partner to join us as part of the People Team at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.
This is a hands-on generalist role that calls for someone to be as comfortable working at an operational level, being analytical, whilst also looking forward and supporting the wider people and operational leaders to deliver the strategic goals and best in class people experience at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.
This position will be based in our Support Office located in Wandsworth Road (SW London) with regular travel to Central London restaurants.
About the role:
- Partnering with our restaurant management teams to provide sound advice and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, whilst using every interaction as an opportunity to coach and educate them on how to deliver more autonomous, first class people management locally. You’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of their business and consult with them to align their business priorities with people priorities (e.g. hiring, performance & talent management).
- Embedding a regular rhythm of setting expectations, performance assessment, talent identification and succession planning with your restaurant management teams. You’ll advise on how to manage performance gaps, and develop talent locally, whilst feeding into our L&D team to help define wider group level development and training offer.
- Owning approach to Employee Relations in your business area. A blend of creating and implementing our policies and educating restaurant management teams on best practice to resolve ER issues locally, whilst remaining the key point of escalation and support. End to end management on complex and high risk ER cases in partnership with restaurant management. You’ll regularly report on key ER metrics, and you’ll be tasked with using this insight to implement initiatives to reduce the number of ER cases, with a key focus on streamlining our approach to managing ER in a way that supports our growing business.
- Regular delivery of an accurate and simple dashboard of key people data, together with well-considered insights for your business area, that will enable us to make smart, well-informed people-related business decisions.
- Custodian of Fourth, our HRIS, ensuring restaurant management teams are using it appropriately and adhering to full data integrity and legal compliance. You’ll ensure regular audits happen and that our management teams are fully trained on the system.
- Manage other People systems – ATS, TrustID, employee benefits and Travel Perk.
- You will be tasked with delivering ad-hoc People Projects, contributing to the wider People Experience. You will ensure all newly launched people initiatives are embedded in your business area.
- Ensure complete people compliance in your areas, covering a host of topics such as Right to work to GDPR.
- Line manager to the HR Administrator & HR Officer and support the wider HR team, with a collaborative one team approach.
About You:
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced multi-site HR Team, supporting a service centric environment. You will have experience providing front-line HR support. Helpful to have worked with Fourth HR System before.
- Curiosity and passion to learn. You are dedicated to your own growth and always up to speed to on the latest thinking in HR and employment law. CIPD qualified helpful but not essential.
- You use your expertise to take decisive action, and give clear recommendations, robust advice and insightful ideas.
- You adapt your style to build rapport and relationships and use these relationships to get things done. You are adept at supporting and guiding others.
- You have strong numerical, analytical and excel skills, and can manipulate data with ease to provide simple accurate insights.
- You can take complex and conceptual problems, and break them down into simple actionable parts to deliver an impact.
- You know how to manage a project, and stakeholders, to deliver the outcomes promised, on time and to budget.
- You are organised and have a proven knack for juggling several balls at the same time without dropping any. Managing your time, multiple demands and the unexpected comes easy to you.
- You are honest and authentic in all you do. You focus on the common sense, fair outcome and the right thing.
- A crystal clear and confident communicator verbal and written.
- You know your way around a system and show others how to do it with ease.
