We’re looking for a Head of Learning & Development who’ll create and deliver an innovative, creative and inspirational Talent Development strategy which will enable Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global to achieve its ambitious People and Business aspirations. You’ll develop a framework and strategy that will deliver an extraordinary, industry-leading suite of training and development that is aligned with the overall people agenda for talent, culture and engagement, whilst enabling the business to enhance succession planning and retention at all levels. You will be passionate about developing talent and creating an outstanding and inclusive learning and training experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering learning into a quality, multi-site guest centric service business.
About The Role:
- Design, execution and creation of the GRRG L&D plan, ensuring that key business objectives are actively supported through effective and innovative training, coaching and learning programmes. Tailoring these plans where needed to each Brand.
- Take an intuitive look at the Leadership and Management Development plans provided across all areas, including an aspirational view of our future plans and put forward additional learning and development ideas, suggestions and plans.
- Progress the Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Academy Talent Development Strategy continuously evolving the space into an internal hub for learning, the go to place for our teams to advance their skills and build capability from new starters through to high performing talent.
- Ensure our teams have the confidence, knowledge and ability to perform at the highest level possible, with outstanding service to our guests and our people being at the heart of what we do.
- Provide a detailed cost plan and budget for all new training activities and external vocational courses, utilising the best routes to add value to our employees whilst generating a commercial ROI.
- Ensure that all Compliance training is provided and effectively implemented and maintained across the business, in collaboration with business and operational leaders. Ensure L&D material is kept up-to-date and is reflective of the latest legislations, processes and policies.
- Nurture and develop a culture of training at each venue, ensuring onboarding and on-going training plan is best in class.
- Lead and manage the L&D team and opening Training Support Teams, supporting their development and skills to deliver a first class learning programme.
- Develop, coordinate, deliver and maintain a suite of in-house training courses, workshops activities and events to be delivered as a rolling programme to include onboarding, behavioral, leadership and capability skills.
- Design and deliver a best-in-class apprentice/early careers programme.
- Drive engagement and participation of learning through active inclusive Internal Comms, influencing and ongoing partnering with key stakeholders.
About you:
- Experience of coaching at a variety of role levels with a particular focus on leadership development.
- Experience of developing interactive and engaging Talent Development interventions which appeal to a range of learning styles, and proven experience of using accelerated learning techniques to optimise learning.
- You will be exceptionally well informed on their specialism and be up to date with the latest developments in talent development and training methods.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety gained within the retail/hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Experienced in project management, ability to manage a number of projects at the same time.
- An excellent communicator who has presentation skills that inspire their audience.
- An ambitious and strategic individual who has a good balance of EQ and IQ, combined with high levels of authenticity and integrity.
- Has a leadership approach that embodies energy, passion, curiosity, and creativity.
- High standards and impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels – both internal and external.
