We are seeking a Paint Development Specialist who will help create and refine paint specifications for ultra-exclusive performance vehicles.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine custom paint formulas, supporting bespoke customer colours and paint-to-sample or paint-to-match projects.
- Collaborate with the Colour & Materials team to deliver finishes that reflect design intent while maintaining performance requirements.
- Conduct mixing, testing, and validation work using controlled and measurable processes.
- Support colour matching activities, including visual assessment and iterative refinement where required.
- Perform durability, adhesion, and performance testing through spray-out plaques and analysis of results.
- Maintain detailed traceability records for all formulations, batches, and test outcomes.
- Operate and maintain paint application and mixing equipment, supporting consistent process control.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive paint development or surface finishing environments, ideally working with professional paint systems such as AkzoNobel.
- Strong colour sensitivity and ability to make accurate visual assessments during development and matching activities.
- Practical understanding of paint chemistry, application behaviour, and environmental influences on finish quality.
- Experience analysing test data and translating findings into targeted formulation adjustments.
- Comfortable working under time pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Positive, collaborative, and methodical in approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain rigorous process documentation.
