About the Role: We’re looking for a Gambling Therapist to provide vital therapeutic support to individuals recovering from gambling addiction. You’ll support residents from assessment through to aftercare, helping them work towards long-term recovery and independent living.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and group therapy using CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centred approaches
- Manage a caseload and maintain accurate case notes
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure seamless care and support
- Identify and manage risks, safeguard concerns, and referrals
- Contribute to programme development and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 4 Diploma in Counselling (BACP registered)
- Training in CBT and/or Motivational Interviewing
- Experience in addiction, mental health, or residential care settings
- Strong communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills
- Commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care
