Gordon & MacPhail, a fourth-generation family-owned premium spirits company based in Elgin, Scotland, is renowned as a Scotch whisky maturation expert. The business also owns the Scotch whisky distillery, Benromach, and The Cairn Distillery near Grantown-on-Spey.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Guest Experience Host to join our Cairn Distillery. This role involves working as part of a highly motivated team to deliver a world-class tour experience and outstanding levels of customer service to visitors, trade, press, and guests of the company.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A knowledge or interest in the whisky industry.
- Previous tour hosting experience and knowledge of whisky production (advantageous, but full training will be provided).
- Experience working in tourism/hospitality.
- Experience in a customer-facing role (essential).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of a foreign language (beneficial).
- A willingness to go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.
- The ability to work well in a team and independently.
- The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Flexibility to work across all areas of the visitor experience.
- Must be over the age of 18 (for alcohol sales).
