The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

Fixed Term, 24 hours per week (3 days). We have an exciting opportunity for a Guest Experience Host to join our Cairn Distillery for a fixed term period until October. This role is to work as part of a highly motivated team to deliver a world class tour experience and outstanding levels of customer service to visitors, trade, press and guests of the company.

To assist and advise retail shopping experience for all visitors to complement and enhance their overall experience at The Cairn Visitor Centre.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge or interest of the whisky industry is highly desirable.
  • Previous tour hosting experience and knowledge on whisky production would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
  • Experience in a customer facing role is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Pleasant telephone manner.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to work well in a team and on your own.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Experience of working in the tourism/Hospitality industry is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of a foreign language would be beneficial.
  • Basic IT Skills.
  • A first aid qualification would be beneficial.
  • The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work across all areas of the visitor experience.
  • Previous food and beverage experience and knowledge on whisky production would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
  • Experience in a Food Preparation environment would be beneficial.
  • Serve beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic including coffee made using an espresso machine.
  • Meet and maintain the highest possible standards of food hygiene in all areas. This includes but not limited to cleaning all surfaces, areas, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
  • Perform regular safety checks i.e., fridge temperature.
  • Must be over the age of 18 (alcohol sales).
