Gordano School seeks an enthusiastic part‑time Midday Supervisor to support effective and positive management of school lunchtimes in the dining hall, canteen, and other areas as required. This pivotal role ensures the wellbeing of students.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage lunchtime operations in the dining hall, canteen, and other school areas.
- Maintain a positive, organised environment for students during lunch.
- Enforce safeguarding protocols, report relevant incidents, and undertake regular training updates.
- Work with school staff to ensure smooth transition between lunch and classes.
- Provide assistance and resolve conflicts among students.
- Liaise with suppliers and maintain cleaning and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a team, preferably in a secondary school or a young‑person‑centred environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels.
- Assertive, proactive, with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and comply with all safeguarding protocols.
